Hi there Diana, thank you for sharing these great ideas, but I did want to mention, that for anyone that can't afford a Die Cut machine, the Embossing machine works great, it cost a good bit less & they work fantastic. Well of course people can cut them out by hand, but it is quite time consuming, but making foam stamps is tons of fun. I like the open-work leaf & the pumpkin.
Going through these journals "It's like visiting an old friend" so lovely. Shannon Green referenced your channel so I decided to come on over.
Easy and fun. Great info. Thank you
Hello Diana! LOve what you are doing here. Would have LOVED to cut a rose cut you did on your machine. I tuned in thinking you were going to show how to cut it! Shoot!!
Uff I would never submerge the wood of the pencil in water. The tip of the core yes, but never the wood!
Or double sided tape. A good strong hold.
Is it rice paper not available here.India
Loved this and lol! I wonder if you have reached geek level in the last 5 years.
I love how you are so free in drawing these roses! Remember to keep your fingers clean, lol, I totally get this.
I just bought some alcohol markers today and didn't know what they were for, lol. I love this.
I have been visiting your journal videos this morning, taking notes in my journal. Thank you for all of your sharing.
I love your idea
Wow really like this a lot.... yes thats the fun part of watercolors the unexpected love adding salt and alcohol drops.....I haven't tried these paints yet they have some new color in 2023......will see if I can find this paper thx a bunch great video!!!
This is lovely
It's great and amazing work. Before sketching the roses, what material has been used on the paper?
This is so interesting. If following the same procedure but instead using 2 layers of thick paper, could the result be more fragile, easily torn? Thanks a lot.
Fantastic ideas thanks sooooooo much ❣️💖🫶
It’s NOT low-tech if it requires a machine.
Don’t you think the QuinGold PO49 and the Burnt Orange are very similar? Love both QoR and DS paints! Tfs! 😉🙏🏾👍🏾
I can see that, Gwen. I do think the burnt orange has more red in it. Thanks for commenting. I’m going to go take a closer look
Interested in book binding; this was very informative. Thank you for sharing! 😃🙏🏾👍🏾
Hi I wonder why 125lb card stock is cheaper than 80 lb cover!
😊🌹
I don’t see a class syllabus or link to one anywhere and would like to find it - thank you!
I don’t have a syllabus for this class anymore. It’s somewhere on my blog but I’m having trouble pulling it up.
Thank you so much for posting this tutorial
I'd stab myself for sure if I tried Bookmaking with a glass of wine!
Great tip about soaking the bone folder. I had never heard that before. All of my folders are several years old. Could I soak them (cleaned of all the stuff that gets on them) or is it just for new bone folders?
Diana! You're back! Hope you're doing well. Love this book form
Thanks Patty! I’ve missed you. I’m not really back just releasing another class. Enjoy.
Yay!! A new project to try when I get home!!❤️
Enjoy, Nanci!
Thanks for sharing this. I love the greys that are produced.
Ooo, love your pick for pairing the Turquoise! Quinacridone Coral is one of my favorites! I'm thinking a high key summer palette from your picks.
Can acrylic paint be used to put on the stamp
yes
@@nuvoclassic does the acrylic paint have to have medium mixed in it
If you use acrylic it will soak into the fun foam. Some people don't like that and will wipe it off after use. To me it doesn't matter because it firms the foam well giving me a better stamped image. I also use the fun foam to make monoprints. Hope that helps.😃😁
I'm more confused now than I was before!😵😵😫😫😭😭
Diana! Long time no see dear one. Hope you're well? Love yellow btw! 😁💛🧡🐆🐈🐱🐥🌼🏵
Long time no see Diana. So happy to have you back and making videos. Looking forward to many more. take care ~~rita
It is fabulous to see you here agian Diana Trout!
A surprise video! Always love a good swatching. Thanks for sharing!~
I do love yellow, but I now realize that I gravitate towards the warm, earthy ones. (I particularly love yellow ochre!) Now, you’ve got me thinking that I need to explore the cooler yellows! So happy to see you post a new video!! 🌈❤️
Fun!
2:09 Yes! Chang agree Diana! 🤗💕
Like very much this. Thank you video . . . 💕
Thank you for your lovely comment :)
I love being original. This is an excellent way to create patterns over and over again in own style 🙂
What a great reminder :) I haven’t made any of these in ages! Enjoy
Really enjoyed.
I know this is an old video, but thank you! Have some old sticky back foam that is slowly becoming less sticky, and recently got into gel printing, so looking for some inexpensive ways to add texture to my prints. Bingo! Especially love the texturizing of the stamps, and the experimenting with heating them to get a crisper print. Going to have to go hunt for some textured items now!
So glad this was helpful! I think my very 1st video was on this topic.
Santa is bringing me a gelli plate and I have already prepared some textures plates per Teresa Morgan I is a paper towel roll with string around it, I is buttons,I is clothes pins,I is brand x method from a dollar tree.
Wonderful!
Have you heard of “sanding” cut paper?! Just thought I’d ask! I cut through a stack of printing paper. As a beginner I had jagged edges. Not only that the edges are sharp! 🙂
I am very glad I found your channel, I have been acquainted with you through features in magazines. This is a great project and I like your technique with the larger pieces. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks for stopping by
OMG VERY INFORMATIVE AND FUNCTIONAL !!!
Is the paper on top of the Muslin tissue paper? Ok. I see it is.
Thanks!
i love making journals
